    Please be aware that our adoption fee is $250.  All of our dogs have received their age required vetting (all vaccines are up to date including rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, and all fecal and heartworm checks/treatment) .  Due to our vetting costs, food, and supplies, we cannot accept a lesser adoption fee.

 

Why would we charge $250 for a rescue dog?
Why not just place the dog in a good home?

 

The answer is because we need adopters who are willing to support all of our dogs and facility, not just the dog they adopt. Young, healthy dogs can cost $150 - $500 in vet bills, and many people will be interested in adopting them.  Older dogs that have health issues, or are heartworm positive, can easily cost $500- $1500 in vet bills. They also may require months of care and rehabilitation. Still, we can only ask for a small adoption fee.

 

All of our dogs have a story to tell, and many have suffered years of neglect and/or abuse. Give an opportunity for a better life to every one of our dogs by supporting them and our adoption fees. Without these fees and donations, our rescue would not be possible.
